Day trip to Leadville, CO

Saturday was a perfect day for another trip to the mountains. This time we decided to head to Leadville. Carl had heard that it was really old and had a cool main street area. That's what I'm always in search of when we go to these kind of places. It didn't disappoint either! It was about 30 minutes south of Breckenridge, but really felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. Every building and house was painted a different crazy color. You can just feel the age when you're somewhere like this. We parked and walked all around to the shops, museums and from house to house. I found some great props at a neat antique store they had too.

Max slept the entire time we were walking around so he didn't make it in any photos.

Carl found this super old toboggan, aka bobsled. If you don't know Carl's history, he was a Jr. Olympic bobsledder when we were in high school. This was pretty cool for him to see.

I found this awesome wall covered in skis. Heaven forbid my child actually stands still for a good photo though. He can get so crazy and wild. It was all he could do to stand and give me this look. Although, I actually think he looks like me in this photo. Anyone?????

Since Max slept the whole time he was starving by the time we were ready to hit the road. Carl found this lake pull-off where I could stay in the van to feed Max and the boys could go out and explore. You can't beat these kind of views!
