Carson's First Snow

We finally had our first real snow last night so we had to take Carson out to feel real snow flakes!

Thanksgiving

Carl's family (mom, sister and two little brothers) are out in Denver with us for this whole weekend. We had a great Thanksgiving day and dinner. They are all having so much fun getting to watch Carson play and talk. They haven't seen him since he was 2 months old. Here are pictures from Thanksgiving Day!

Time to Baby-Proof?

It is quite a struggle to keep Carson contained since our house is so open. There aren't normal-sized door entries anywhere that a gate would fit. His new favorite thing is just to go over and stand at the stairs. I love his expressions, like he has been doing this forever and he thinks it is no big deal. I will be getting a gate to put at the bottom of those stairs at least! SOON! And we will for sure need some foam around that banister. That thing is sharp!

Then yesterday he started sucking on his middle two fingers upside-down. Seems random, but I am pretty sure his top two front teeth are trying to come in because his gums are crazy swollen there.

Weekly Play

Carl was throwing Carson in the air and I got this hilarious picture. This is the actual full-sized pic:

Here it is zoomed in - you can see Carson is totally off Carl's hands and his hair is up in the air!

This one was just sweet:

And Carson has learned how to cage himself under the dining room table.

Why wouldn't he chew on our furniture? (Luckily I dusted those Sunday :) )

First Play Date

We went on a play date yesterday with my friend Jennifer and her baby Katelyn who is 10 months old. We went to a place called Monkey Bizness that is a huge indoor playground for a wide range of ages. It is probably better for about 1-year-olds and up, but they still had fun. Jennifer works at home too so we are trying to get the kiddos out and interacting more.

Carson didn't know what to think of Katelyn at first. She is much faster and more mobile that he is. The first time she crawled right up to his face he almost started crying. Then he got the hang of her and she even planted a big kiss on his cheek. It was adorable! He really tried to hang in there with her though, but couldn't quite keep up. Soon little man, very soon.

New highchair and food update

Carson looks tiny in his new highchair. The infant seat wasn't cutting it - it was way too hard to clean up after. So far we have tried the following foods:

-Avocados: LOVES them
-Sweet Potatoes: Okay with them
-Plums: HATES them! He makes a bitter beer face with EVERY bite.
-Mangoes: Okay with them
-Apples: Loves them

Next we are going to try peas and red pears. I have to wait 3 days in between each so we can catch any allergies that may arise. He loves eating real food though!

And.....this is what you call a lemon face. Carl insisted he get a little surprise on his spoon even though he can't have lemon yet. Carson was none too pleased.

The Adventurer

I find this kid somewhere new every single day. He loves to go for the place or thing that I don't want him to have!!! He just moves too fast though. :)

Blame Daddy...

*~* Halloween *~*

The weather was perfect last night! We decided to hang out at home, BBQ and watch the little neighborhood kids. We mostly have girls around here so Carson is a welcome change for most of the parents. I think most of the kids here are still really little so we didn't have very many trick-or-treaters. Oh well, more candy for us!
