Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I seriously don't think we could have any more sickness in this house! We ALL had the flu (Carson twice!), we've all had versions of colds and sinus infections and the boys started getting a cold again last week. Overnight Max went from a little cough to full on croup on Wednesday morning. We had to go to the doctor that day and he literally had a fever from 4am Wednesday until bedtime on Sunday. He still has tons of mucus and a bad cough so we haven't been able to take him anywhere.

With croup you have to put them in a steamy room and then go out to the cold air. We were the crazy people over and over out in the freezing weather with the baby. This one was my favorite though. He was on the porch with Daddy and it was so bright outside the background didn't even exist. You can see the snow in front of their faces. We actually got snow this weekend!

Carl's 30th birthday was on Saturday and he happened to have Friday off. We decided to head up to Rocky Mountain National Park through Estes Park for a drive. The clouds coming over the mountains up there were breathtaking. A photo couldn't even do it justice. Unfortunately Max was doing great that morning and started getting a fever a couple hours into the drive. We stopped to get him some medicine and he slept a lot. Our kids sure love sleeping in the car! We found all the elk in the park where you always see them, but then found 5 hanging out right behind all the shops on the main street. So weird!

I took these last week sometime. Max has a knack for always putting sunglasses on upside down on his first try. He also insists on getting on our kitchen chairs constantly.....and then falls off. He was hanging out with Carson's glasses playing so I had to get some pics.

He got Carson's ring pop here..... (I think this was on Valentine's day)IMG_3887 web

And this was the aftermath when I took it away.

Here are some new instagrams.
I always tell Carl no flowers on V-day or Mother's day because I hate that it's because he's just supposed to. So he got me flowers twice in the week before. He's silly.
Carson's valentine for me.
The boys at family day at preschool.
Silly faces! (photo bomber LOL)
One from the monster truck show from Carl's phone I didn't have before.
Carl and I got to go out on a date! We literally hadn't been out at night without kids in so long we can't remember the last time.

instagram wrap-up

Carl and I both heard that the Monster Jam monster truck show was coming and thought it would be such a fun thing to take Carson to do. He had a Grave Digger truck a long time ago (that he lost...) and Uncle Jordan brought him a new one and a Brutus truck for Christmas. We decided we'd leave Max home with Grandma and Carson got a "Mommy and Daddy" day by himself. He was so funny. We knew it would be loud so Carl brought him big ear covers. But before the show even started and we were out in the concourse he was covering his ears. LOL  This was when they had barely revved one and it was nothing. He made us laugh the whole time. He actually sat relatively quiet, just taking it all in and I think he liked the motocross jumping the best. Go figure. I watched him the whole time instead of the trucks. :)
Carson's Mommy and Daddy day is in effect. Monster trucks!!!!! (Pre-earplugs)
Told you they were big. ;)
The biggest ear covers for the littlest guy. This is going to get good....  #monsterjam #denver

I don't know who this kid is, but all of a sudden my little teeny tiny baby has decided he can go up in play place playgrounds by himself all of a sudden.
Baby's not a baby anymore.  First time going to the top of the playground alone.

Carson has been filling up his piggy bank for months now. He's a crafty little one when it comes to getting change. We had been needing to set up their savings accounts anyway so we told him we'd go do it all when it was full. I couldn't believe he had 1,101 coins and each boy got about $62 for their account! Way to hustle, Carson!
Finally brought the boys in to open savings accounts and cash in the piggy bank. Carson works it for that change! #yougoboy

When I work and he "drives" around with DJ Lance. Not the safest driver I've ever seen....
My coworker isn't doing much work today. And poor DJ Lance is in the trunk. LOL

Max got Carson's pajama pants on all by himself and was just a little proud. I loved how incredibly high he was able to pull them up. haha   'Does anyone have any cheeeeeeeese?"
Does anyone have any cheeeeeeese??? #urkel #bigbrospants

Getting the mail.
Mail run with the tiny Eskimo. ✉❄

Last week when Carson was sick on Tuesday and Wednesday he woke up much better on Thursday. We decided to go to open play at gymnastics. Max had an absolute blast, but Carson was definitely not up to 100% like he thought he was. By 45 minutes in he was DONE and begging to go home. We raced home and he jumped out of the van to head straight to the couch. Poor guy!
Gymnastics!! And spirit fingers.

More gorgeous sunsets here in Colorado.
Spectacular Denver sunset!

Max's stamps he gets from Carson's class with the other kids. He loves showing them off.
Max is the honorary extra member of Carson's preschool class. He gets stamps at the end of the day too. I love asking him where his stamps are and he'll always show me with so much excitement.

Sleep smiles. :)
Hello Friday.

Not feeling so hot....
My poor baby bug isn't feeling so hot.

Babes

In the last 14 days Carson has had the flu or some stomach bug TWICE and Max caught it last night. In the couple weeks before that Carl and I were both sick with sinus infections and coughs.... It never seemed to end.

Carson's fight last week was him throwing up all night long and sleeping/whining for the following two days. I had a big day of work scheduled (of course) so Carl was awesome enough to use his sick day and be here. These boys love their daddy and I love it. Daddy naps are pretty nice, eh?

Quick impromptu shot of Max that in theory shouldn't work, but I am in love with it. Rainbow flair, blurry action and just perfect still.
