Sunday 4-Wheeling

Carl, myself and Carson went with some friends on our first 4-wheeling journey in the Jeep yesterday to the Medberry trail. But somehow we managed to take no pictures. I'm not sure how it happened. I got the camera out once while we stopped to take a few pics of Carson, but I was holding on for dear life the rest of the time so I'm sure that was it. I had to sit in the back seat with him through the really rough parts because his little head was bouncing around so bad!
We went way out into the mountains where there had been a huge fire last year. The mountain sides were all covered in black tree trunks and it looked really creepy. The extremely bumpy and crazy trail ended at the Platte River which was so gorgeous. It was a very nice 75 degrees and breezy. I could have stayed there all day long.

Since Carson has been here, these guys have been kind of neglected of all the attention.

I want to eat you so bad!

Grandma Susan taught Carson how to grab the parrot on his bouncer and now he is obsessed with it! He is at the stage where he will stick anything in his mouth to bite it and this is just perfect. The problem is that he can't quite sit up far enough yet to reach it comfortably so he get really frustrated! He knows how to do it, but it isn't very easy for him just yet.

Strong little guy!

Man, we have created a monster. Carson absolutely LOVES to roll over and his neck is getting so strong. Just last week he couldn't sit up this well while flat on the floor. He does this all on his own too. And this morning he rolled from his tummy to his back 4 times! He can turn all around and just won't hold still.

3 Month Pictures

Not a huge change from 2 months, but it was A LOT harder to get him to hold still this time! Not the greatest of pictures as a result.

Baby steps...

Guess what is happening in our house right now????
A nap in the crib!
He was playing in there by himself while I was doing something and started acting tired. I figured it couldn't hurt to swaddle him and see what happened. And he just fell asleep! It was actually a little too easy.

New jammies

Seriously, how cute are these PJs?!?! I just love the puppy faces on the feet. He looks so cute in them! (And they were only $6!) He is finally fitting into the 0-3 outfits like this. Most of his newborn sized PJs are not even an option anymore.



Now that he has figured out how to roll over, he can't be stopped. You can set him down to play and turn your back and he will be yelling because he has turned and can't figure out how to get back on his back. It is so cute! He rolled while I was taking a picture of his PJs today:

Pro pics preview

We went and got professional pictures done this weekend. They turned out really great, but Carson was a nightmare that day. It really is surprising that we got so many good shots with as horrible as he was being! Here is a preview pic, real ones coming soon...

Scooter Fun

First ride in the Jeep carrier

I wear Carson around in my Moby wrap every single day, but Carl hadn't tried out his Jeep carrier yet since Carson is just getting the hang of his neck control. He really liked it though (even if he wasn't too smiley)!

Tummy time and rolling over!!!

We are trying to remember our tummy time every day and he is getting better and better at it. He can only take so long before he starts crying though:





So then I put him on his activity mat and started taking pictures. I posted pics awhile ago showing him roll on his side for the first time and he has been doing that a lot lately. This morning he rolled on his stomach for the first time, but I thought it was a fluke. So just now I was taking pictures and he rolled to his side like normal. But he just kept going again! And I was there to get it all on camera. He rolled all the way (even though his right arm was still trapped) and picked his head up! I hadn't touched him once. I rolled him back to his back and came over to the computer. All of a sudden I heard a really muffled cry and he was on his stomach again! That means he did it 3 times today out of nowhere!!! (and note the nice bird he is giving you)
