Bouncer Fun
Here are some cute pictures of Carson playing in his bouncer. He loves this thing. He kicks the toys hanging down and just stares at the moving pieces. The vibrating chair calms him down too. This is where he hangs out (under my desk) while I am working. :)
Longggggggg Legs
I love comparing Carson at birth to now to see how much he has grown. He has grown almost 4 inches since birth. He has a really long torso, but you can see how much bigger and longer his legs look too! We took some new bathtime pictures to compare.

Better than expected
Carson had to go the the pediatrician this morning for his 2 month well-care visit. This included not 1, but 5 shots for his vaccinations.
He is measuring 23 inches long (19 1/4 at birth) and 11 pounds 1 ounce. He literally fell as 50% on all measurements on the scale so he is exactly average. The doc said he is doing great and is exactly where he should be developmentally.
Then came the shots. He had two in one thigh and three in the other. When she stuck the first needle in he immediately exploded. His face scrunched up and he screamed a scream that I have never heard come out of him. She did them all really fast though and I was able to scoop him up. He let out a few more whimpers and then somehow he was just fine. I thought he would be screaming the entire way home.
Now he is asleep, so we'll see what the rest of the day holds for us...

Two Month Pictures
Holy cow!!! Our little tiny baby is already getting so big! Check out the difference. When I took his one month pictures I could barely get him to keep his head up straight. He is getting so much stronger!

ATTENTION ATTENTION
We have a roll over!
Here are just some of the pictures I have taken of Carson today. Yes, I really do take A LOT. Oh well, better to have more than less.
This morning he rolled on his side and grabbed a toy on the activity mat! (I *kind of* got a picture of it.) He has started rolling to his right side this week. This morning I gave him his medicine, got him dressed and set him down to play. He actually reached out to get the toy on the mat about 8 times after rolling over!
I am such a proud mama. I called Daddy immediately to tell him the news. I am kind of sad that he won't get to see some of the "firsts" because he is at work. :(
*****Grandpa Rick - Check out his chin dimple starting, especially in the pictures with the red shirt!

Carson in Motion
Carson was being really happy and smiley last night while we were eating dinner so I had Carl get out his phone and get a little of it on film. He was rocking him in the car seat so it is quite shakey, but you get the idea.
Also, TURN ON THE SOUND! You can hear him trying to talk!

What a horrible way to start the day...
Carl had to go to the DMV to add his new motorcycle endorsement, so I figured I would go with him since I have never gotten a CO license. Hey, it has only been a year and a half! We ended up being there for 2 1/2 hours and we got there only 15 minutes after they opened.
The DMV is such a miserable experience, but you see some of the most strange things and people while you are waiting. The clerk that finally helped me was very odd. He ended up entering my social wrong and spelling my name wrong which added close to a half hour to the whole process.
We did have a pretty funny exchange though. It was very loud, Carson was starting to get really fussy and I was just tired and not thinking clearly. The clerk was talking really low and I was having a hard time hearing him.
Him: Read the three questions posted in front of you and tell me the answers.
Me (reading questions too quickly): No, No and No.
Him (blank stare): Did you read the questions?
Me: Um, yeah. No, No and No.
Him (another blank stare): I think you might want to read number 3 again.
---Question #3: Have you surrendered your out of state license?
Me: Oh, I get it now. No, No and Yes. I thought it meant that I had given up my license because I got in trouble. Oops.
Him (a very strange stare): OoooooooooooK.
I felt like a big dummy. But it was almost redeeming when he had to call me back up to fix his mistakes. TAKE THAT!

Let me repeat myself...
It is AWESOME when Carson wakes up happy! We have been struggling for a long time now trying to figure out what is going on with his crying spells, which we believe is caused from some acid reflux. We had him on Axid for his reflux last week and it didn't seem to do anything at all. Today is the third day that we have had him on Prevacid and (I don't want to jinx myself, but) he is in such a good mood!
He woke up from his nap and I had to document this occasion (then he ate and is back asleep already!):
And an occasional eye-cross

He likes his swing!
I am so happy to say that Carson is finally taking naps in his swing. For awhile there he would only be content for 5 minutes or so and then start crying. He has taken a nap in it every day for the last week though.
And it is even better when he wakes up happy! This is what I captured as he was waking up - such a cute smile!

Say Hello to Carl's new toy
This is the new Yamaha Majesty 400 scooter.
If you happen to be in the Denver area, you may see Carl riding around on that bad boy. He is a little too excited about being able to drive a scooter, but he will have fun! He is taking the motorcycle & scooter certification class this weekend. We always laugh at the people in this class done at the mall parking lot. I am SO going to go laugh at him now!!!
He will be picking it up sometime next week, but ours will be dark gray.

Carson's New Toy
Grandma Susan bought Carson a new playmat and he really loves it. He lays under the bars and "talks" to all the toys hanging down. It has a kickmat that plays music when he hits it and he yells when it turns on. It is so adorable.
