New Year's drive to Utah

Carl got a 5 day break over New Year's weekend so we went out to see family for the holidays. We love Salt Lake. Ogden is always nostalgic, but that place always stays the same. We sure do love getting a Jake's Over the Top shake and having fry sauce again though! We obviously miss family and familiarity, but food is definitely up there with what me miss too.

One more adorable bath pic from the hotel.

We turned Max around for this trip to face forward in his carseat. In the past we put Carson in the back row and I sat in the middle by Max, but I get so carsick back there. It was so weird to turn around and see two big boys looking back at me!

We took a day to go to City Creek and around Salt Lake. The view from around Capitol Hill is so awesome.

Carson loved Great Grandma Stonehocker's enormous tree. She prides herself on all her ornaments, many with stories and history so it is fun to share it all with Carson. My "baby's first Christmas" ornament is even on there from 1983!

Max kept busy playing with all her magnets. Anything new and different is the bomb, eh?

Grandma doesn't like them at all.

At dinner I let her have at him and didn't butt in. Max sure is the eater of the family!

Max and Grandpa had a quiet moment of chair rocking. :)
