Baby 3 - It's a…...

To say I/we are in shock is a gross understatement. I 100% went into the appt expecting to see boy numero tres. The tech asked if we wanted to find out and if we should start with that. Now, let's just say this time the view looked much different than the boys' ultrasounds. When she was looking around at that area it was quickly obvious what was missing, but I couldn't believe it. Then through the appointment the tech kept saying, "there's HER arm…" etc. What?! I can only equate this to the feeling right after you get married and it is so weird to start calling your partner husband or wife. I can't seem to say the word she out loud yet since it still doesn't feel real. But it is real! Holy crap!!!

She was measuring 19w6d and was technically 20w2d. Maybe the girl will be a tad smaller; the boys were always ahead a few days. I also find it interesting that at 16 weeks the heartbeat was 139 and at 20 weeks it was 146. That doesn't line up with the old wives' tale about boy/girl and heart rate. That's about what my boys always were at too. All the parts were there, looked right and no concerns from the doc. I do have anterior placenta for the third time which is why I'm not feeling much movement yet.

I have always felt in my life that everything happens for a reason and I feel so content with life today. All is good at the Wooten household.

The doctor told me it was okay for Carson to come if he wanted to and he very much did. We pulled out the DVD of his ultrasound earlier in the week so he kind of knew what to expect. He is still totally thrown by the concept of the baby's belly button not being connected to my belly button. It is so cool to see how excited he is for this baby though. I expected some jealousy or anger, but he just hugs and kisses the belly and says, "I just can't wait until the baby comes out!!" "How many days until it is out?" "Remember you'll have to feed the baby with the Boppy, Mom." So cute.

He gets to be Star of the Week in his class this week. This means he got to bring home Dip, the class pet, last night. (Can I just say how happy I was to learn Dip was a STUFFED animal?!?!) We are supposed to take photos of Dip out with us during the weekend and then put them in the big class book with Carson's story. This was our first photo. :)  My belly seems to change shape at different times of the day. Apparently it was in a wide and chubby state for the photo. Boo.

We went to Carmel last weekend and had an amazing time, just the two of us. The boys didn't even notice we were gone. But I ended up having an insanely busy week right as soon as we got back. Max went to daycare three times, which is saying a lot. This photo was my comfy outfit and pointy belly on my way to a ton of work.

Dec/Jan/Feb iPhone pics

Man, I really am regretting not being more on top of this blog! I have found it to be invaluable with Carson, but Max has not gotten a lot of details put up here about what he is doing. Seriously, this blog is sometimes my backup memory. It's scary. Max is totally talking all of a sudden. He's been such an observer (with a huge personality still) up until about a month or so ago and then ALL the words flooded out. I absolutely love talking to him with that cute little voice. And he is so excited now when we actually know what he is saying. He was turning into a big-time hitter there because he was getting so frustrated.

And Carson. He went into kindergarten only reading his own name. As of the first of this quarter he is full-on reading. It is almost comical around here now since we can't hide anything from him. No more spelling out hints, writing something down, texting…..he reads it all. He loves school and we can't ask for anything more. He is totally into Legos right now. He got a Lego table for Christmas and that is how he spends all his free time. We currently have a 12 car parade on our kitchen counter because he keeps them all for Carl to see when he comes home. Well, one is a bobsled, one is a submarine, one is a trailer since he ran out of wheels. LOL

Here are my phone shots from the last two months:

Playdate at Monkey Bizness.
Christmas morning
Carson got to read these two books on Christmas Eve from my childhood I managed to save which was pretty cool.
Grandpa Rick was out for Christmas the year. Surprisingly, he bought the boys golf clubs. Weird, I know.
Carl got me a spa day for Christmas which was just awesome.
Playing up at the Stanley Hotel.
Reading to little bro in the school library during my yearbook club meeting.
Those. Buns. He's losing his baby rolls. :(
Looked down to see my belly greet me along with this guy.
We got a membership to the nature and science museum this year. Max surprisingly will spend FOREVER in the diorama area. I at least get to sit down for a while.
Mom gets to wear all the flag football flags at the same time.
Story time at Barnes & Noble.
Carson using dice from our wedding to do his homework. :)
Went to the museum on a weekend so Daddy could come and saw Sharks 3D IMAX. Our Max made it barely through half. Wasn't embarrassing at all….
Post-dentist treasure chest raid.
Carson's first Valentine's Day box. We decided on a big Lego.
On Valentine's Day morning we got to go into school early for "Muffins with Mom".
Carson and his "girlfriend" Rebeca, otherwise known as their first date.
Going through the haul after school.
Max was with me when I bought Carson's red paint. He asks about what everything is so when I told him about Carson's box he demanded requested a blue monster box.
Family dinner on Valentine's night. They took soooooo long so we had to entertain them.
An uncommon cuddle with my baby. I woke him up at 4:15 from a nap and he still dozed off when we got downstairs. I so miss sleeping with them as babies.
What a goofball.
Double shoulder ride. Totally normal.
Fellow mom sent me these pics of Carson in school:
Carl got three tickets to a Nuggets game last night and took Carson and Dustin. Carson loved it beyond what we even thought he could. So cool to expose him to these new things that we loved growing up. HE managed to get a prize from the blimp and make it onto the jumbotron. :)

Baby 3, 19 weeks

Now I'm questioning doing these weekly belly selfies….my belly isn't changing much! I always carry my babes super low and my belly starts out oddly pointy. I guess today's photo looks like it is rounding out some at least. I'm going a little nuts because I still am not sure if I have felt any movement yet. I felt the boys pretty late, but found out I don't have anterior placenta this time so I got my hopes up for before 20. I'll feel a twinge here or there and freeze, but nothing more happens. I remember at our 20 week u/s with Max laying on the table and watching my belly bounce. C'mon baby, let's do this! We find out if we're having a boy or girl next Friday, aka the longest wait EVER! I almost thought about not finding out this time and now I see why I didn't wait with the others. I'm driving myself mad. I dreamed we found out we were having a boy once with both Carson and Max and two nights ago I had the boy dream again. Although, Carl was wearing a tutu and we were sitting with a nurse in a mall dressing room…. We'll see! I'm psyching myself out at this point and a little nervous either way it goes.

I'm feeling pretty good overall though. Around week 14 my nausea was replaced with almost-daily headaches. Some were lasting multiple days at a time and Tylenol wasn't touching it. My dr. happily offered up some Fiorecet which has been a lifesaver. My back was a huge issue with Carson and pretty much dominated that pregnancy story. With Max it was never a big issue. I'm already having some issues with it now, but it seems to happen after too much activity or sitting in my horrible desk chair for too long. Really, I can't complain, all things considered. Our genetic screen all came back normal which is great. But without the movement my mind is playing tricks on me constantly on what is happening in there!

Wooten fam grows to FIVE

We are officially able to announce that we are expecting our third baby on July 16, 2014! Yes, we are crazy. Yes, this is definitely our last child. No, we will not be sad if it is a boy. PLEASE don't assume that about people!

I have had the roughest first trimester of the three this time, but now at 14 weeks I'm finally out of the woods on the nausea. ::knock on wood::  I'm exhausted still, but not feeling sick immediately gave me a little boost of energy. We got to see the blob at 8 weeks and it didn't look like much, but at our 12 week appt it was a full-on wiggling baby. All the numbers have come back good so far and we're measuring right on at one appt and two days ahead at the other.

We'll have our 20 week ultrasound on February 28 and most likely will find out the sex again this time. We are 100% expecting another boy just because of our odds so far and will be shocked if it goes the other way. I'm so nervous and excited to find out though. We will probably spill the beans on the sex, but not the name this time. That's going to be a hard one to decide on!

Carson keeps saying he just can't wait until the new baby comes out and he kisses my belly all the time already. It helps that his kindergarten teacher is also pregnant so he is very conscious of it on both fronts. Max has no idea what is going on yet. LOL

I'm going to be taking some selfie shots of my belly and stuff this time just because I can. I started this week and will try to remember to post them as I go. And my announcement photo for my business and online stuff...

And since I haven't posted ANYTHING since finding out we were pregnant (like, literally my last post was done the day after we found out), here are a few favorites of the boys I haven't shared:
